Terms of service

These terms apply when you use crowne, the web analytics service at crowne.io. By making an account, you agree to them.

The service

crowne counts page views and custom events from your sites and shows them in a dashboard and through an API. We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it never stops.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in methods and secret keys safe. You are responsible for what happens with them.
• You must be allowed to add the sites that you add, and to collect analytics on them.
• Do not send personal data, such as names or email addresses, in events or properties.
• Do not use crowne to break the law, to attack other systems, or to send more traffic than your plan allows on purpose.

Trial, plans, and payment

• A new org gets a 30-day trial with every feature. No card is needed.
• After the trial, the dashboard locks until you pick a plan. We keep counting events for 30 more days.
• Plans renew each month or year until you cancel. Stripe is the merchant of record and charges the tax for your country.
• If you go over your plan two months in a row, we email you. A week later the dashboard locks until you upgrade or a month ends within your plan.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. The plan stays active until the end of the period that you paid for.

Your data

Your data stays yours. We use it only to run the service for you. You can export reports and delete sites and your account at any time. See the privacy page for what we store.

Ending

You can stop using crowne at any time. We can close accounts that break these terms. We will tell you before, when we can.

Liability

crowne is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We can change these terms. We will email account owners at least 30 days before a change that limits your rights.
